Disabled Sex Workers Pose for Charity Calendar

The Disabled Sex Worker Calendar is back for a second year in 2021, thanks to ostomate and cam model GoAskAlex.

The adult performer is well-known in the camming industry. GoAskAlex won the title of Best Inked Model at the 2020 XBIZ Cam Awards. She’s also been nominated for Best Cam Model at both the 2021 AVN and XBIZ Awards.

GoAskAlice is also a disabled sex educator and disability advocate.

In 2019 after undergoing a procedure that removed her colon, she began the disabled sex worker calendar as a not-for-profit disability awareness project

Struggling with body acceptance, she decided to showcase the beauty of disabled sex workers, releasing the first calendar in 2020.

“There is something very powerful about being represented that can’t be explained unless you have experienced living in the margins, in one way or another,” she wrote in an article for XBIZ published this month.

GoAskAlex shares her story and why showing the eroticism of disabled people matters:

“I am the picture of privilege in many ways, but one thing I can’t do is watch a TV show or porno and feel that my body is represented by the performers. “

“It would mean a lot to me to see another ostomate performer on screen, but until that day, I am grateful that I can create the space for other disabled people to feel represented in porn.”

Calendar for a cause

Disabled Sex Workers 2021 Calendar cover

The 2021 calendar features disabled sex workers including GoAskAlex herself, as well as artists BodyXBlunts and Holden Wunders. It is for sale on Etsy for CAD $20.

Each page features a sex worker along with details on their work, disability, and how to find them online.

All profits will be donated to the WISH Drop-in Centre. The program provides hot meals and a safe space for former and current sex workers in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
